Ok, Pres. Elect Obama -- I voted for you. I went around and knocked on doors for you. I even donated money to get you elected.
But I definitely don't need a coffee mug for $15. This smacks of Jim Bakker!
This is an e-mail I received today:
"This holiday season, celebrate the historic accomplishment of our movement for change. Treat yourself or a loved one to a limited edition Obama coffee mug. Make a donation of $15 or more right now and get an official Obama mug to mark an amazing year."
And I just got this e-mail, offering me a $35 calendar!
"This holiday season, celebrate the historic accomplishment of our movement for change. Treat yourself or a loved one to a limited edition four-year calendar featuring some of the best images from the campaign trail. Make a donation of $35 or more right now and get an official Obama calendar to mark an amazing year."

p.s. Catherine was it André Gide (1869-1951) she uses as an example? If so, I just encountered him in my reading today!

Unfortunately, no, Millet uses Jean Genet (phonetically close, but stylistically so far.....) I have kind of given up reading it for now. It's really quite irrelevant to my line of inquiry anyway.
And by the way, Michael did some looking and Colbert wasn't lying about the stick:

I won't spoil what else was inducted a few years back, but it's really quite funny.
Hope you are having a good day!
Umm... I thought the stick thing was a JOKE!
Cardboard Box!!!
I'm crying laughing.

"What's next "Imagination"?
p.s. I really need to study my French pronunciation and writers! :)
No, really, it's not like the two are so far apart. I am embarassed to admit only a passing familiarity with Gide, so I am the one who should be studying up.....
