They are soooooo cute! Athena has gotten so big! I love the picture where she is doing guess who....we HAVE to submit that to stuff on my cat (okay, I'm a little obsessed.) There's a lot more to talk about..I'll call you later.
Hi j4luck, What sort of art do you create? Thanks for thinking they're cute.
Hi Catherine, Athena was such a little punk yesterday. She was scratching the coffee table, so J.D. snapped his fingers and pointed at her. She stopped for about 10 seconds, but then she ran full speed and attacked his hand resting on the chair. It wasn't a vicious attack, more of a statement about telling her what to do.
Of course, J.D. loved it, although he called her names as he then snuggled her.
Just so you know, Liz says that Athena's coloring is very rare...a ticked tabby calico (torbie, I think). Michael also said it looks like she's wearing orange pants! She's really cute!
Just the other night J.D. and I were trying to decide how to describe her. She is a calico, but not with the regular markings. She also has tiger cat stripes going on, so I guess torbie makes sense. I also like the orange pants idea.
Athena is definitely a Torbie. I looked it up. I like what this site says:
http://www.pandecats.com/x/colors-tortie.shtml
"Torties and torbies are very interesting! They tend to have what the cat fancy calls "Tortie-tude". More than any other color, these girls have an "opinion" on everything. They will tell you exactly what that opinion is! At the same time, they can be one of the sweetest cats you will ever own."
Except now J.D. has taken to calling her "Torgo," which I do not approve.

Aww, how cute! I love animals, they are my subject of choice when I do my artwork. They always are just genuinely themselves.
