Sadly, I didn't get everything on my list done yesterday. I did go to the library to finish writing down M.'s thesis bibliography, and I did work with the volumes of marginal notes in Remembrance. Also, I wrote in my notes for 30 minutes. But that's it.
So, I deserve to be thrashed with Swiss chard, drubbed by rhubarb, clobbered with cucumbers, beaten with beets, or pummeled by pumpkin. I should at least have cyber vegetables and fruits lobbed at me. A few suggestions, feel free to mix and match:
- Potato
- Beans
- Okra
- Artichoke
- Squash
- Eggplant
- Peppers
- Gooseberries
- Gourds
- Corn
- Melons
- Zucchini
- Broccoli
- Cauliflower
- Lettuce
- Punch
- Strike
- Pound
- Knock
- Hurl
- Belt
- Hammer
- Batter
- Thump
- Bombard
- Pelt
- Splatter
- Wallop
- Lambaste
- Shellac

I like the idea of trying to shellac you with melons....but then again, I was supposed to get a lot more done than I actually did yesterday too. Instead, I ended up drifting off to sleep while Olivia was off to school and I woke to ALL the cats on the bed with me, with the exception of the tenant, who was next to the bed. Yes, even Cupcake got on the bed with me and he still refused to do so, and I raised him since he was 5 weeks old and even gave his stupid ass bottles of kitten formula.
My excuse is that it is SO cold (almost 30 below windchill)....poor homeless people and animals. I hope everyone is able to stay warm.
PS...I am in awe of your taking a walk post from earlier.....
Stay warm there... or try to. We're thinking of you everytime we see the weather report and all that cold air pressing down on Chicago. It's chilly here, but we have no right to complain (although I still do). I hope all the little animals stay warm and all the people find shelter.
P.S. "Shellac" was my favorite verb too. :)
