Childhood Toys

I received the most awesome present in the mail yesterday! (Thanks Catherine)!
She sent me Little People! I got the Camper and Jeep that my sister and I played with endlessly. They are in perfect condition too. Not like ours now.
Ah. . . yes, I remember the days of having the Little People family bravely explore the Newly-mowed-grasslands, the rivers of a Garden-hose-in-the-dirt, and lakes of Flooding-the-lawn. Fun times. Also in the picture notice Athena's paws. She likes the scanner and all things associated with it.
And, I have to admit, I learned something new. Candice and I both thought this character was a boy:
I realized upon pulling him out of the box that he would be a rather foppish boy. It honestly never occurred to Candice and me that this was a girl! We just thought it was a boy who liked scalloped lace collars. :)
However, this character we always knew was a boy:

He was the bully and bratty kid, always causing trouble and adding drama to family road trips, which probably included leaping out of moving vehicles and stealing the jeep while everyone else was asleep.

Now he and foppish boy will have more adventures!

The Adventures of Foppish Boy and Bratty Kid sound like an interesting comic or a rather sad indie band.

J.D. says "Foppish Boy and Bratty Kid" was the name of White Stripes until they realized one was a girl.

... he's such a punk. :)

This is really really hilarious!!! I never thought about it as 'foppish boy' but I soooooo see it now that you posted the picture. He's not very girly at ALL. Now the ones with the brown hair and the blue dresses, sure. But this one. I am laughing my ass off!

We always called the second one Billy Bad Boy. Billy Bad Boy and The Fop?

I'm happy you thought he was a bad kid too Lora. I like it: Billy Bad Boy! :)
