A day with Abe and kin.

Black bag, black shoes, black cat

Marley is sitting on my giant scrapbooking case. He loves sleeping on there. The other day, I had the cover open and he jumped inside it, to his great dismay.

Go fly a kite... ok.

Forest Park, March 2007. A windy day, we tried our new kite from Costco.

J.D. reminisced about when he was young and had a fighter/trick kite. When he
was 10, he special ordered glass string, so it would instantly sever the strings
of other kites that got too close to his space. What a J.D.

A walk in the ... woods?

J.D. and I walked to the local park the other evening. For walking in U-City, we certainly had a little safari. J.D. spotted a wild, female turkey, just hanging out and walking along the opposite sidewalk. At the park we saw four bats flying in the twilight. And when we left we almost stepped on an enormous frog. It was the most "nature" we've both seen in a while!

Super Heroes?

These individuals were trying out for a reality television show at the St. Louis Mills.

Panacea and the Bearded Chicken.

Seriously, what's up with the prom dress?

Was Doughy-White-Guy already taken?

My vote for the lamest hero of the day. He was a crime fighting Janitor with incredible cleaning abilities both under high school bleachers and on the mean streets of Ladue. He made Concierge Man look down-right exciting.

Annoying Chick.
She spoke in a low, sultry voice, which resembled the growling of a horny she-bear. It was probably a wise choice to bring a prop and shiny gold boots instead of charisma.

This was Mallet Man... more commonly known as Diaper Dude.

Under this façade of a puffy upper half and way-too-clingy lower region, was a retired police cheif, turned vigilante. Guess his colleagues at the station never accepted his spandex-wearing ways.

"Glitter Girl"

Oh, really....?

How many years do you bet he
had this in his closet?
