What's making me laugh today

Hopefully they will make you laugh too, if you like seeing things that are SO bad... they become sort of delightful.

I thought these were both funny in their own L'Unique ways. The first one is the Eurovision entry from Georgia that was declined because of its "political" subject matter: "We Don't Wanna Put In" (the political part is not their spelling of "wanna"). Hey, at least Georgians have an entertaining sense of humor about disco and war.

The second one I found while amusing myself looking at other Eurovision videos. I can't watch it without cracking up, especially the beginning. The "performance" of this song (also found on youtube) was equally awful/funny.

* Please note, you may want to avoid this video if you object to seeing any of the following: partial nudity, a woman's breast exposed; sexual content/suggestion; violence/ cheesy battle scenes; a weirdo doll face; a horse falling over (but it seemed to be ok); or the use of little people in strange costumes for no apparent reason. Ok, I think I've covered everything in this disclaimer.

Thank you. My mom had never heard of Eurovision. I got to explain it to her and now she's fascinated.

I too have never heard of Eurovision, but I am laughing my ass off, especially about the disclaimers! I especially liked the one about the horse (thanks, Tammy, I know that was there for me!)

I found this really funny, overall....the only part that I actually found disturbing (yet oddly funny!) was the strange castrato vocals for the main vocals.

Thanks again for a HI-larious post!

Well, I'm just glad they entertained. J.D. thought the songs were too painful to have redemptive comedic value.

I have to say, I think my favorite part of the Georgian video is the mustache: "Give me sexy, yah?"

And yes, I think you're right Catherine, the falsetto does deserve its own disclaimer, and the animal treatment warning was for you. :)

I hope you know what you've started. I've looked at video clips from 10 years of Eurovision contests and my mom bought this year's winning song on iTunes.

Ooh, ooh! Vesperstar, have you seen the performance at Eurovision(Finland's entry)that won the 2006 Eurovision? You have to see it, the whole thing!

Hey lutheranchick :)

Wow... it's the spawn of 1980s butt-rock meets Halloween.

I don't think I've ever been quite so terrified by a musical performance.

Among my favorite lines:

"It's the arockalypse" and
"On the day of Rockoning"

Thanks for the link! Even J.D. got a chuckle out of that one.
