Yesterday in my Merrill/Archive class we discussed Darwin and the quotation came up: "Privately, we know, Darwin took intense delight in the act of observing. His son writes: 'I used to like to hear him admire the beauty of a flower; it was a kind of gratitude to the flower itself. . . . '" (qtd. in Baird 485). It was a nice coincidence that later J.D. and I went to the Botanical Gardens, definitely my favorite place in St. Louis. I had never been there in spring.

Hello you Both,
We came inside from cutting down trees behind the barn and now are waiting for the pizza. We saw the beautiful pictures of the gardens and wanted to say hello and we love you. That is funny about you wondering what the neighbors were doing when the earthquake happened. I thought the same thing when the earthquake happened in Twin. I thought someone had ran into the house. It is so weird feeling an earthquake. Well, I am glad you are doing good. We love you bunches!!!
Love Lots, All of us
Love you too. :)
Wish we were there to work and have fun. Talk to you soon.
