Beer & Art Day. Friday
June 5, 2009
In the morning we drove downtown for the Budweiser tour. At the end of the tour they give everyone two free beers (or soda/lemonade). It was enjoyable to relax with a cold beverage on a beautiful, sunny day. For lunch we ate Gus' pretzels at a local park. After lunch we roamed throughout the Art Museum showing Anson the mummies in the basement, the Impressionists on the main floor, and modern art with a few Picassos upstairs. We also saw a little of Forest Park. Later, J.D. and Anson went to Subterranean Books and looked in the tattoo place on Delmar. Both returned without ink. :) Later the guys went to a beer tasting festival and had quite a bit of fun.

Good Clydesdale. Bad Clydesdale.
On to the Art Museum. . . .
Our favorite van Gogh on display.
The guys with the original
"Buddy Christ" (family joke)
At the Beer Festival a little miracle formed in Anson's glass. J.D. and Anson were obviously blessed by Buddy Christ: "Go forth and have smiley faces in thine beer."

That is miraculous! Wow. Holy Beer! (is Buddy Christ a strictly inside joke ... sound amusing.)
It's just a spoof from the movie Dogma, when the Catholic Church attempts to "jazz" up Jesus with a makeover.
You can see a picture on wikipedia:

:)
I am laughing that you found an actual Buddy Christ! You should submit him to Jesus of the Day....which, as you know, is a real website (or at least was a real website...I'll have to double check that one again)
Oh wait,it has become Jesus of the Week:

Yay for happy times!
